Behold: Bender's New Donut Bacon Cheeseburger

Because there is no Wendy's within San Francisco city limits and thus no easy way for the citizenry to discretely murder themselves, Bender's has added this frightening thing to their menu: Donut Bacon Cheeseburger.  With tots.

I didn't personally sample the new fare, as my arteries were already clogged with a burrito, but my friend remarked it was “real fucking good” before sketching off to find a quite place to be gassy.

Anyway, it's only on the menu for a reportedly “limited time only,” so if you have been fiending for some digestive stupidity in the land of arugula and avocado, you best get over there soon.

Wanted: Doughnut Shop in the Lower Haight

Hater Tuesday brings word of 911wasaninsidejob.org's campaign to bring a doughnut shop to the Lower Haight.  And what a worthwhile campaign it is: the 'hood has most of the major food groups people care about covered (pizza, ice cream, sausage, sandos, beer), but when it comes to fried pastries that you can dunk in your Irish coffee, you're shit outta luck.

9/11 Was An Inside Job's Google Map of area doughnut spots really nails the point home.

Of course, if this campaign will ultimately be successfully is anyone's guess, but I think we can all agree that it's refreshing to see our city's Ron Paul fanboys moving onto more important issues.

Get Yourself Some Free Peanut Butter and Banana Honey Donuts

Funcheap has the scoop:

Dynamo Donut launches their newest donut flavor – a fusion of Project Open Hand’s homemade peanut butter with a banana honey glaze.

To celebrate, Dynamo will give away FREE donuts and FREE Stiegl Goldbrau beer while supplies last. Guests are also invited to name the new donut to win a gift certificate for a dozen donuts.

I'm trying to think of good names, but everything that comes to mind involves dogs licking peanut butter off of phallic objects.  Anyway, tt goes down from 4-6pm today, so brave the rain, hail, and afternoon tornado warnings to get yourself some fresh donut action.

Bad Movies Explained Via Donuts

Hello Everyone! Long time, no see. Well, don't get used to this pretty face because I'm just stopping by to deposit a fat load of holiday cheer all over your face. So, UA friend Ben Pearson writes awesome movie reviews over on Tiny Mix Tapes and he put together this great piece, “The Art of Watching Bad Movies” and it's fairly awesome and includes many rad drawings and charts as sampled here:

Go read it! And enjoy a terrible movie or seven over the holiday break. What doesn't kill you just makes you a worse person.
