Valencia’s had it share of restaurant openings over the last few years, but foodies are ready to move into more “fringe areas.” As the chef behind Conduit, opening on 14th and Valencia, recently told the Chronicle, “The Mission is definitely up and coming … Well, maybe it already came, but it’s definitely still going.”

I wonder how long zeitgeist can maintain its zeitgeitness. Now I know many people here are likely too cool to go there, or think it’s somehow radically different than it used to be. To me it’s the same as when I used to drink there at age 18, and even then I’d hear people complain about how it’s lame now. It’s a cool fucking bar you assholes, with plenty of cool fucking people that go there, it’ll be said to see it eventually changed.

Weird, didn’t they close 4 years ago? http://www.missionmission.org/2010/01/13/conduit-closing-its-doors/
