As the summer of violence heats up in Dolores Park, with the crowds of thugs young and old alike all hopped up on booze and economic depression, the Mime Troupe found themselves center stage to yet another confrontation in the park. Luckily, WBTC was there to liveblog The Great Battle of the Surly Seniors:
OLD LADY FIGHT AT DOLORES PARK!

“You're not allowed to have raised seats” — to woman setting up a chair right in front of the stage, blocking views
— We Built This City (@TheRealWBTC) July 7, 2012
“SHE CAN IF SHE'S DISABLED AND SHE's 95 AND SHE's GOING TO SIT THERE AND WATCH IT”
— We Built This City (@TheRealWBTC) July 7, 2012
Staff intervened before it came to blows, old lady in raised seat was moved over to the side, still in a great position

The violence is getting out of control. What's the solution? Ban old people?

I don’t think I ever specified it, but the woman yelling was elderly too.
Re-reading them like that it kind of sounds like some jerk kids were berating a 95-year-old woman.

we should reassign some of the officers around 16th/mission and 24th/mission to dolores park. that will but a dent in crime in the mission!

Carve out a quadrant for old people in the park and build them their own playground with a swingset and mock gambling.
