Admittedly, I don't make it out to Oakland nearly as much as I'd like to, so I have no idea if this mural is “fucking ancient” or not*, but it is still one of the cooler Bay Area murals I've seen lately. Is it on the side of a condemned building? It looks like the side of the now-closed Octopus’ Garden (on shattuck), the Most Awesome pet store/aquarium supply in Oaktown (I used to get cichlids here with my pal Perry when we were kidz). Looks a little more cartoony than I remember though.
