I always see Mormon missionaries in …The Mission (d’oh!) . Seems like about every 2nd time I’m in the mission, one of these guys is lost and can’t find the BART station or something. I had a hilarious conversation with two of ‘em a while back who’d just been dumped in SF for their mission, and was asking them if being dropped in SF was some sort of punishment for them, since my friends, who did this ages ago, got to go to Brazil and Hawaii.
Im leaving on a mission this july or august, and all i can hope is that i go somewhere warm enough to ride a fixed gear bike while tracting. pull out some keo’s while i wait for my companion who doesnt quite get the concept of “if your cranks and wheel are moving, so are your legs.” but seriously dont hate on the mormon community. we are just the same as you, we just have a little higher standards than most and choose to spend 2 years of our life serving the Lord. big deal.

Believe me, if you grew up in Utah as a Mormon, San Francisco might as well be in another universe. It’s bonafide exotic.

Glad to see that you haven’t given in to the Elders request to take down the photos, unlike Cyclelicious, who folded like a cheap missionary suit.
