See that sexy little “Single Family Home?” Well, 13 Lucky St. could be yours for a bargain-basement price of $289,000. As Troy Holden points out, it might be “the best address in the city,” but to my untrained eye, it looks like a fucking garage. I’m sure the used car salesman that posted this listing knows more about the difference between garages and single family homes than I do, but $289,000 seems like a lot of money to park your Kia.

It was up for the laughable price of $499,000 in 2008. Nearly half price now…

From the ad:
“Opportunity to build your custom home in the trendy Mission District. Currently, there is a garage on location and is rented to a contractor for storage. Seller will carry financing for qualified buyer.”
With that being said, I wouldn’t mortgage my life away to build a house two or three lots off of 24th Street… but it will likely appreciate well.

My buddy is the contractor who rents this place out… it’s a pretty small lot that and it’s only zoned for single residence, so now duplex/triplex dreams can be taken to fruition. The land really isn’t worth anything more than a garage, I certainly wouldn’t want to live in a single family home built on this little back alley.
