Chase Bank Moves Onto Valencia

Chase is busy moving into Valencia's most elite address right now, becoming the first national brand to open up along the street in years.  I guess the effort to petition the Board of Supervisors to stop the bank didn't work out?

this is good for the community. now i have another atm to use w/o having to pay the bogus atm surcharge.

You know what would be even better for the community? Joining a local credit union that reimburses all ATM fees.

This. I know it's a big bad evil corporation and everything but.... as a Chase customer, I hated that all their locations were in a 1 mile radius surrounding me. So I'm stoked on this. Sorry everyone else.

I want to join a credit union, but I need a bank where I am able to deposit checks several times a week without going horribly far out of my way.

You go to a physical bank to deposit checks? Wow, what's it like living in the 90's?

At the above-mentioned CU you can deposit them via smartphone, or at a branch of practically any other CU. There is literally no reason to keep your money in a big sleazy bank these days.

Dude. I use a credit union and for ages now I've been able to deposit checks by taking a picture with my phone. I think this is pretty standard these days?

Valencia is the new Union St. Who really cares what opens up there anymore.

Stopping American Apparel from opening is so laughable at this point.
