The Independent is a movie theater like I am a newspaper box.
Also, I am the mayor of Storyville. Get your own fucking popcorn, and while you’re at it, ditch Get Satisfaction if you ever want any constructive feedback from your users. What a pain in the ass that is.

Doesn’t the Independent show free movies? Like tonight, aren’t they showing Paranormal Activity?
Hmm yes you are right. I’d forgotten about that. I wouldn’t call that their primary classification though, and it seems silly that every venue checkin be counted toward the movie badge, when you’re really most likely there seeing a live band and they can’t really incorporate that fine-grained differentiation.
Get Satisfaction is probably the main contributor to the angry tone of this post.
So you’re a newspaper box, but only on Monday nights when there are no interesting newspapers in town?
Not that this makes it better for you I’m sure, but I think those badges rely on venue tags, and since the Indy does show movies on many Monday nights, it technically does deserve the “movie” tag. This isn’t some kind of super advanced system—it’s Foursquare.
