You've always wanted to check out the view from the top of the U.S. Bank building (you know the one--at 22nd and Mission), and now you finally have a chance.

The occupants of the top floor office (some company called TypeKit, which apparently sells paradigm shifting scalable font cloud hosting mobile instagram whatever) were purchased by Adobe and moving in with their new bosses in Soma.  So, of course, they're throwing a free goodbye boozefest next Thursday at 7pm.

From the event invite:

Come celebrate with us one last time as we move out of our Mission St office with a bang. Join us for drinks, food, and music on Thursday, March 29th, at 7:00pm. As we say farewell, we’ll also welcome the new tenant—our friends at True Ventures.

What the fuck are up with all these August birthdays?

Is it just me or is August the birthday month in SF?  Back in Boston, I always remember there being a few birthday's in August, but October always seemed like the month.  Trying to schedule an August birthday party in San Francisco is the equivalent of buying Lady Gaga tickets at Amnesia.

Am I forgetting something?  I recall the months of February/March/April being 'fucking lame' with not too many house parties.  I feel like there just are not enough Spring ragers in the Mission.  If I accidentally have a kid, I hope they're born in the middle of March so I have an excuse to throw an early Spring kegger:

Friend:  Kevin, it's 7pm at your kid's first birthday.  You're fucking wasted.
Me:  Shots shots shots shots shots shots shots EVERYBODY
Friend:  Don't you think you should slow it down?
Me:  Guys.  GUYS.  Let's ride our bikes to Ocean Beach with a bottle of Jameson and watch the sun rise!
Friend:  Fuck this, I'm outta here.
Me: SHHHHHHHHOOOOTTTTTSSSSS
