Fox News Asks: 'Why Does San Francisco Hate Us So Darn Much?'

Sassypants Fox News anchor Bill O'Reilly dispatched Jesse Watters to the smut-ridden streets of “Nancy Pelosi stronghold” San Francisco to ask: “Why do people hate 'The Factor'?”  The resulting segment is, perhaps, one of the best pieces of journalism ever produced:

I do have to say, I was quite disappointed with Skater Jesus's resounding praise of Bill after his epic build-up, but let's move past that for a second.

After the duo of tort reformers joked about suing their punchy detractors, they got all perplexed as to why The Haters By The Bay couldn't describe why they were down on their brand of righteous Fair and Balanced journalism.  In their minds, if the freaks within the capital of lefty intelligentsia can't make the case against Fox, the network must be a-okay, right?

But it's curious that they couldn't find a single person capable of calling out the network for pushing a right-wing agenda to such an extent that Comedy Central devotes an entire half-hour show to ridiculing them for it.  Or that Bill says “some people say” every time he wants to inject baseless opinion into the discussion (I saw that Robert Greenwald movie, too).

Maybe it's because they were interviewing people with cats on their shoulders?

Anyway, hope Jesse had a good time visiting SF and belittling trannies!

skater jesus is wearing a t-shirt depicting a minstrel character and a joke about the kkk meaning the kool kids klub. need I say more?

Trashing SF is one of O’Reilly’s favorite pastimes. Picking on “freaks” is easier than his normal regimen of opinionated yelling.

It’s Adam Sandler’s approach to comedy (“look, fat guy, haha!”) but applied to politics.

Well, it’s because any interview that doesn’t fit the narrow and biased image they are trying to project ends up on the cutting room floor.

I would love to do the converse of this and go to the most conservative podunk place in Southern Alabama and ask them… well pretty much anything and air it nationally as the “typical Fox News viewer.”

This is silly. If you want weird and weirdos, go to Haight/Ashbury district. But, if you want to know what the real SF is thinking, go to the cafes in North Beach or the Mission Districts where the real natives live and think and have real answers for nimrods like this guy. The Haight is full of transient and disturbed people living on the fringes of life. I lived in San Francisco for 30 years and I would not go to the Haight to find out what all of SF is like any more than I would go to the Tenderloin.

Skater Jesus is my roommate. Lol fox

I think you give the “mainstream” too much credit. I don’t think the typical American even watches political news. Remember 40% of the voting public did not vote in 2008- which is the largest turnout we have had in decades…

Even when I converse with college educated, intelligent people, they typically have no clue about what is going on in the news outside of celebrity gossip. Sad, but true.

Just a reminder, tranny is generally derogatory, and the preferred term is usually transgender.

But remember, it’s liberals who are the “elitists” in this country, right Bill?
